Pathology Informatics Summit: Pittsburgh, PA USA | May 9-12, 2022
The focus for the Pathology Informatics Summit 2022 – Innovate, Connect, Inspire.
The API-sponsored Pathology Informatics Summit benefits from over 40 years of combined experience of the prior APIII and Lab Infotech Summit meetings, with the current conference organizing committee deeply understanding the field of Pathology Informatics.
The Pathology Informatics Summit 2022 Meeting will continue its tradition of assembling the top thought leaders in clinical laboratory and anatomic pathology informatics. This year will emphasize important contemporary topics, including: the informatics of single cell analysis, machine learning & artificial intelligence, imaging analytics, and whole slide imaging clinical workflow. The agenda will continue to address cutting-edge topics of interest to all informaticists.
This API-sponsored conference is designed to meet the needs of physicians, including: residents and fellows, researchers, and graduate students. The conference is aimed at all informatics knowledge levels with introductory courses offered on the first day of the conference for individuals new to the field. API members receive substantially discounted registration for attending this conference.
Planning for the 2022 meeting is currently underway. The Pathology Informatics Summit Planning Committee includes Co-Conference Directors Dr. Ul Balis, Dr. Mark Tuthill, along with Dr. Bruce Friedman, Lisa-Jean Clifford, and API staff Nova Marie Smith, Grace Chae, and Beth Gibson. The Pathology Informatics Conferences will mirror and expand upon the themes of the LITS and APIII conferences, following three general tracks (1) Clinical Informatics; (2) Anatomic Informatics; and (3) AI and Machine Learning.
Without question, the PI Summit 2022 promises to be a singularly outstanding event, and should be on the must-attend list for anyone interested in staying current in this very fast-paced and important sub-specialty of pathology. The Association for Pathology Informatics provides generous travel scholarships to the meeting for pathologists in training and other graduate students working in the pathology informatics spaces. In addition, the API membership itselfprovides substantial discounts in meeting registration. Register early to assure your seat at the table!
