34th European Congress of Pathology: Basel, Switzerland | September 3-7, 2022
The motto for the ECP 2022 – The Art of Next Generation Pathology – encompasses the broad range of modern pathology, including next generation technologies as well as the next generation of pathologists but also points to the intuition and passion necessary in pathology as part of the Art of Medicine for the best management and maximal benefit for our patients. As usually, the ESP working groups and affiliated Societies have invested a lot of energy to prepare excellent state-of-the art organ and topic-based sessions, including multiple joint sessions, updating and broadening the scope of organ-based pathology. Special sessions focusing on recent research findings will also be organised jointly with other pathology and clinical scientific societies.
Keynote lectures held by internationally recognised experts, oral free papers, posters as well as sessions organised by our trainees will cover a broad spectrum of topics – from cutting edge scientific developments to more common problems in diagnostic and academic pathology, as well as hot topics like implementation of artificial intelligence into pathology practice.
The Computational Pathology Symposium (CPS)
Run in conjunction with ECP again this year, the Computational Pathology Symposium presents key speakers from both academia and industry to inform about and discuss developments in the application of AI to histopathology. We specifically welcome all stakeholders that are involved in the development, validation and adoption of Computational Pathology to facilitate interactions in the broadest possible manner: pathologists, (AI) scientists, technicians and lab managers from hospitals, academia and industry. The CPS will be organised in conjunction with the ECP in 2022 for the seventh time. Panel discussions and demonstrations may be part of the program in addition to invited speakers and submitted talks. Find out more about CPS here.
