Are you passionate about providing top quality product training and clinical support? Are you looking to transition from a lab/clinical role? A leader in the medical imaging space is currently looking for an Applications Specialist to join their close-knit team in the South and provide clinical training and support on Digital Pathology solutions. You’ll be tasked with making sure their customers are fully trained on their products and are getting the very best out of them!
The company

With extensive training and development programmes, you will be supported to become an expert in their medical imaging products. As leaders within the x-ray and radiography market, they are investing heavily in their new technology, so that you can be sure you are securing sales for genuinely life-changing equipment.
The role
In this role, you’ll be providing clinical training and support on our client’s Digital Pathology solutions, by assessing customer and training needs and providing this support. You’ll liaise with both customers and other internal teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure all customers get the very best out of their systems.
Other responsibilities include:
- Ensuring customers are fully trained on our client’s products
- Making sure issues are rectified within SLAs
- Assessing training needs
- Building strong, trusting relationships with customers
- Regularly visiting customer sites to ensure satisfaction
- Designing training courses and programmes
- Providing pre-sales demonstrations to customers
- Supporting the marketing and sales teams with your expert knowledge
- Creating supporting documentation for products
The requirements
You’ll have a strong track record in an applications specialist role or will have previous experience working in histopathology/with digital pathology systems, as well as…
- BSc in Biomedical Science or IT related degree
- Experience working in a Histology Laboratory
- Digital pathology experience preferable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to build strong relationships with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
- Motivated and driven to succeed
- Experience training pathologists and other healthcare users desirable
- Experience with histology laboratory information management systems and specimen tracking systems desirable
- Able to travel nationally across the UK from Monday-Friday
- Flexible and willing to work over the weekend on an ad hoc basis
- Full UK Driving licence
