In this role you will be in the drivers seat to design and implement the Digital Pathology solutions together with our customers and enable cancer diagnosis to be done more effectively, of higher quality. this all leads to better patient care.
The Philips Digital Pathology Solutions (PDPS) business started in 2007 and has doubled in size each year since. It is now a business with worldwide presence (US, Europe, Asia) for total digital pathology solutions encompassing Ultra Fast scanners for microscope tissue slides, a pathology Image Management System and several disease specific (mostly for cancer types) computer assisted detection (CAD) solutions.
In a world with increasing challenges for cancer diagnostic procedures and quality of patient care we want to be number one in empowering pathologists with digital pathology solutions so their expertise is supported by the best scanners, Image Management System, workflow and CAD/CDS solutions available.
You are responsible for
As a Professional Service – Clinical Consultant you will contribute to the implementation and support of the Philips Digital Pathology Solutions (PDPS). You will seek and partner customers in this analog to digital transformative step.
Ensuring successful clinical and physician adoption of Philips solution.
Serving in a consultative role with the customer through pre-sales, solution design, delivery & implementation to provide a smooth, effective and successful implementation of Philips solutions.
Delivering clinical consulting services which may or may not be in combination with the implementation of a Philips solution.
Leading the development of new solutions (services and/or product functionality) and delivering training to the global clinical organization.
Holding a specialty, or multi-specialty role(s) in or related to the Pathology domain.
Configures or managing the configuration of Philips solutions to accommodate Application and/or operational workflow in the customer’s environment.
Conducting workflow analysis and consults on workflow changes that need to occur with the implementation of new functionality or solutions.
Guiding the customer in the testing of workarounds, clinical integration and new functionality of Philips solutions.
Coaching and educating customers in the use of complex situations for multiple solutions.
Analyzing the customer’s existing workflow and facilitates proper change management in the clinical or operational environment.
Attending seminars and training sessions necessary to maintain appropriate level of professional competence and/or licensure.
Identifying application issues, investigating and resolving issues or identifying potential defects.

As a Professional Services – Clinical Consultant you will report directly to the Global Professional Services Leader for Precision Diagnosis Solutions.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
Qualified pathologist or deep experience of working through all the clinical & workflow steps in a pathology lab and/or in an oncology diagnosis stetting at a hospital.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience.
Experience in digital pathology.
Able to effectively structure problems, and design solutions which the customer believes and advocates.
Able to efficiently coordinate project resources and tasks to create more leverage and enabling team members to focus more on customer deliverables.
You are a excellent communicator (verbally, in writing, face to face, remote) for different customer audiences ranging from individual contributors to organizational leadership.
You are able to quickly develop enduring relationships with customers at all levels to ensure project completion, customer success, and more business.
