What is the job about?

The purpose of the Customer Care Solutions Specialist Oncology (Application Specialist) is to contribute to a great customer experience by delivering high quality technical expertise and application support in the field of histopathology. By doing this, you strengthen the position of Roche as a partner of choice for our customers: laboratories and hospitals. Your work strongly contributes to the overall company ambition to be effective and efficient in our core business, deliver comprehensive customer solutions with medical value and to excel in a valuable customer experience.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Manage day-to-day operations and relationships with customers; you gather and analyze information to effectively support customers in their daily operations

  • Provide pre- and after sales customer support for the development and/or implementation of systems and applications

  • Provide timely, reliable and effective troubleshooting support (technical and application) to our customers

  • Use in-depth product knowledge to provide expertise to our (potential) customers and colleagues through sales presentations and product demonstrations

  • Ensure that our customers are satisfied with the company portfolio and services – ensure that our products (laboratory systems and reagents) are functioning according to specifications and customer satisfaction

  • In close contact with the customer, identify mutual opportunities and initiate projects to realize those

  • Work in a multidisciplinary team to create a valuable customer experience

  • Ensure that planning and budgets are met according to contractual agreements

  • Feed ongoing user feedback back into the organization – for learning, improvement and development of current and new customer solutions

This is the kind of expertise and experience you bring:

  • Education: Bachelor degree (HLO) in Life Sciences (Biologie en Medisch Laboratoriumonderzoek) or equivalent with specific expertise in the field of histopathology. Additional knowledge of molecular & clinical sequencing techniques is a plus

  • Extensive laboratory experience, either from within the laboratory (lab technician) or from an external perspective (application specialist); you understand the needs and dilemmas of a lab

  • Good analytical skills and experience with troubleshooting

  • Affinity and experience with digital pathology and workflow automation

  • Knowledge of organizational aspects of hospitals and / or laboratories

  • Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language in word and writing

  • Experience with lean/workflow optimization is a plus

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar (field) position is a plus
