You are responsible for

  • Understanding the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.

  • Rotating through our departments (service, implementation) to understand and learn key technology aspects to grow and improve the business.

  • Accepting designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.

  • Engaging with customers or clients and provides service and/or sales.

  • Providing suggestions to management for improving customer experience with deployment and internal processes.

  • Learning and becoming proficient on internal software systems.

  • Assisting Solution Architects in creating design deliverables.


You are a part of

The Business Development team, responsible for international markets for the Digital pathology business BIU within the PD solutions business. You will work in a highly motivated team and work with stakeholders in various central teams, markets and businesses across the globe. Centrally you will work with the multi-cultural DCP team consisting of Solution architects, product managers and marketing team. The team operates in an open atmosphere and is characterized by a “self-starting” mentality and creating your own focus areas after consulting with the various stakeholders. The work location is Best, The Netherlands.


To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent technical scientific degree such as Physics or Engineering

  • Understanding of Information Technology and Software technologies and solutions

  • Medical research/industry experience preferred

  • Good Verbal communication and Customer focus

  • Good organization & planning skills

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 – €900 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €145,- net

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop
