This position is located in Pathology, a chapter within the PS function, which enables portfolio decisions through proactive and integrative pathology expertise. We closely collaborate with our therapeutic areas and functions to convert hypotheses into innovative therapeutics.

Job mission

The pathology laboratory expert will provide excellent technical and scientific support in the design, execution and interpretation of tissue and fluid-based assays for preclinical safety assessment. This expert works in an interdisciplinary and self-managed agile environment.

Your impact

  • You follow the state of the art and propose innovative approaches to solve fluid- and tissue-based biomarker questions

  • You interface with pathologists, scientists and laboratory experts to develop and perform tissue-based assays including immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization and immunofluorescence

  • You perform digital pathology techniques including whole slide scanning and image analysis on cytology or histology samples

  • To a lesser extent, you may perform fluid-based laboratory techniques including hematology, clinical chemistry, and immunoassays

Your profile

  • You possess a university degree in the life sciences with significant pathology laboratory experience or a Medical Laboratory Technologist training with pathology laboratory experience

  • Experience with tissue-based histotechniques and digital pathology

  • Experience with fluid-based techniques including hematology, hemostasis, immunology, flow cytometry and molecular biology assays are of benefit

  • You are curious with an innovative growth mindset
