DESCRIPTION:0000Days00Hrs00Min00SecThe meeting will kick off on Saturday\, March 21 with the USCAP Honors and Dr. John Goldblum delivering the Maude Abbott Legacy lecture\, followed by the all-attendee welcome reception\, Gathering in the Grotto\, held on the San Antonio River Walk. \nOn Sunday\, March 22th\, select from over 40 education sessions offered by Companion Societies. These sessions cover the breadth and depth of pathology and are an excellent chance for you to network with colleagues. Starting Monday\, March 23rd\, attendees can select from a variety of programming from platforms to Luminaries to Interactive Microscopy sessions. DESCRIPTION:0000Days00Hrs00Min00SecLearn the fundamentals of Imaging Informatics.\n\n\n\n\nNational Imaging Informatics Course (NIIC)\, Borne out of our collaboration with the RSNA + DPA\, NIIC is the first of its kind to delve into comprehensive fundamental principles in today’s real-world ecosystem of imaging informatics. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nGet working knowledge fast with SIIM’s National Imaging Informatics Course (NIIC)\n\n\n\n\n\nThe National Imaging Informatics Course (NIIC) is an accelerated\, week-long online experience for imaging informaticists seeking to better leverage their expertise towards a broader\, more holistic engagement within the field. \nBorne out of our collaboration with the RSNA and DPA\, NIIC is the first of its kind to delve into comprehensive fundamental principles in today’s real-world ecosystem of imaging informatics – in order to create enduring engagement and innovation within the field. \nParticipants develop a well more well-rounded understanding of the field\, demystify business cases and become more confident\, effective and valuable in the fast-changing medical and healthcare fields – plus earn up to 20 hours of SIIM IIP Credits doing so! \nIt is the perfect opportunity to introduce non-radiology professionals to the field of imaging informatics\, gain relevant understanding of how medical/healthcare systems work in total and impact how patients are cared for every day. \nThis NIIC Term is made possible by a partnership between the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA)\, the Digital Pathology Association (DPA) and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM); and initially funded by a grant from the Association of University Radiologists (AUR)\, this course has been developed by a team of faculty comprised of experts in imaging informatics from around the world. \n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\nImaging Informatics for All\n\nNIIC is open to anyone across the healthcare enterprise seeking to gain a baseline understanding of imaging informatics\, advance cross-functional skillsets and invest in their career goals. \n\nIndividual professionals\nPracticing physicians\nInstitutions\nTrainees at all levels\nFaculty\nIT experts\nIndustry partners\nand more!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKey Features\n\nNIIC’s specialized curriculum is packed with relevant exercises (and tips) across the imaging informatics spectrum that are essential to modern medicine/healthcare including: \n\nClinical workflow\nHardware/software/networking requirements\nStandards\nPatient-centric radiology\nPACS archives\nBusiness aspects\nHot topics: AI\, mission-learning\, data science\, and 3D printing\n\nThe course is efficiently structured with intellectually stimulating pre-work and well-thought-out agendas plus an ample 3-month window to complete homework assignments.
