SUMMARY:International Spatial Biology Congress 2026
DESCRIPTION:0000Days00Hrs00Min00SecIn this rapidly developing field\, spatial biology provides significant potential for creating novel clinical insights. Recent technological advancements in spatial biology have provided insights into new strategies to prevent and treat disease\, particularly the interactions between the tumor and the tumor microenvironment in cancers to target patients to more specific treatments. New spatial research is focusing more on spatial omics integration\, spatial metabolomics becoming more prominent\, how to tackle spatial data analysis and benchmarking\, and the applications of AI within spatial biology. \nThe conference is structured around three core areas\, Spatial Multiomics Studies and Techniques\, Bioinformatics and Computational Tools for Spatial Data Analysis and Applications of Spatial Biology in Disease and Drug Development. There is an expanded focus on data analysis in response to delegate feedback. Sessions place particular emphasis on understanding\, analysing\, and standardising spatial data\, alongside advances in subcellular and spatial–temporal biology. As the field moves beyond broad molecular mapping\, talks now explore finer-scale perspectives\, including three-dimensional interactions and the dynamic behaviour of molecules within cells and tissues. \nThe programme highlights both technological innovation and the expanding application of spatial biology beyond oncology. Topics include the integration of spatial biology with mass spectrometry\, enabling detailed proteomic analysis at the subcellular level\, as well as emerging approaches in spatial transcriptomics\, epigenomics\, and metabolomics. Case studies span rare skin disease\, neuroscience\, neurodegeneration\, and cardiovascular disease\, supported by increasing engagement from the pharmaceutical sector. A strong keynote lineup brings together leading academic and industry experts to offer insight into the future direction of the field. \nRegister Now

SUMMARY:The Digital Pathology & AI Congress USA and American Spatial Biology Congress 2026
DESCRIPTION:0000Days00Hrs00Min00SecOPEN LETTER:\nANIL PARWANI Professor of Pathology and Biomedical Informatics\, Chair of Pathology Department\, The Ohio State University \nDear Colleagues\, \nIt is my great pleasure to offer my full support for the 12th Digital Pathology & AI Congress\, co-located with the 3rd American Spatial Biology Congress\, taking place on May 7–8\, 2026 in Columbus\, Ohio. \nWe are at a defining moment in the evolution of pathology. Digital pathology and artificial intelligence are no longer future concepts—they are actively reshaping how we diagnose disease\, generate knowledge from tissues\, and deliver precision medicine to patients. When combined with advances in spatial biology\, these technologies provide unprecedented insight into tissue architecture\, cellular interactions\, and disease biology across scales. \nAt The Ohio State University\, we have witnessed firsthand how digital pathology and AI can transform clinical workflows\, enable computational discovery\, and bridge research and patient care. From whole-slide imaging and AI-assisted diagnostics to spatial multi-omics and translational research\, these tools are redefining what is possible in modern pathology. Importantly\, their successful adoption depends not only on technological innovation\, but also on collaboration\, shared learning\, and open dialogue across academia\, healthcare\, and industry. \nThis Congress brings together exactly that community. By uniting pathologists\, scientists\, clinicians\, computational experts\, and technology innovators\, the meeting provides a vital forum to explore real-world implementation\, regulatory considerations\, and emerging scientific applications. The co-location of digital pathology and spatial biology is particularly timely\, reflecting how closely these disciplines are converging to drive the next generation of precision diagnostics and therapeutics. \nI am especially pleased that this meeting is being held in Columbus and in collaboration with The Ohio State University. It offers a unique opportunity to engage with leaders while showcasing how integrated digital and spatial approaches are being applied in both research and clinical settings. \nI look forward to participating in the Congress and to delivering the keynote address\, “Journey to Precision Pathology: The Role of Digital Pathology and AI.” I strongly encourage colleagues across pathology\, biomedical research\, and industry to join us for what promises to be an impactful and forward-looking event. \nI hope to see you in Columbus in May 2026. \nAnil Parwani \nRegister Here

SUMMARY:EPIC Technology Meeting on Cancer Pathology\, Therapy and Surgery at Gustave Roussy
DESCRIPTION:0000Days00Hrs00Min00SecPhotonics technologies have shown great promise in advancing both the diagnosis and therapy of cancer\, offering highly precise\, non-invasive and\, in some cases\, real-time solutions. Techniques such as optical coherence tomography (OCT)\, fluorescence imaging\, and Raman spectroscopy enable early detection and detailed imaging of tumors at a cellular level. Their goal is to overcome some of the disadvantages of the traditional methods in terms of accuracy and speed of the diagnosis. Novel imaging techniques can also offer new advantages in intraoperative margin assessment in surgical oncology. For cancer therapy\, photonics plays a critical role in approaches like photodynamic therapy\, where light is used to activate photosensitive drugs that selectively target and destroy cancer cells. And laser sources can be used on surgical applications due to their capability to destroy tumors with minimal damage to surrounding healthy tissue. The integration of photonics with molecular imaging and targeted drug delivery systems is also enhancing the precision of cancer treatments\, improving outcomes\, and minimizing side effects. \nThis meeting will bring together medical doctors from different departments to discuss with the photonics community the actual status of the solutions they use and the remaining challenges and needs. From this discussion\, integrators\, manufacturing of complete systems and components manufacturers will understand the way to improve their developments to address the specific problems of the medical community. In order to support companies in this challenging process\, a specific session on regulations\, certifications and hospital management needs will be organized to have new recommendations and advice from experts in these topics. \nRegister NowMeet Our Partner
