SUMMARY:Intro to HALO®\, HALO AI\, and HALO Link 4.2
DESCRIPTION:0000Days00Hrs00Min00SecLearn about the exciting new features in the 4.2 versions of HALO\, HALO AI\, and HALO Link!\nSummaryIn this webinar\, Indica Labs will explore the new features and functionalities in HALO\, HALO AI\, and HALO Link 4.2 designed to enhance performance\, streamline workflows\, and expand analytical capabilities. In HALO 4.2\, new annotation tools such as a multi-select feature and improved annotation management\, including batch annotation import and rename\, boost efficiency. Also\, object data is moved out from the database into optimized parquet files\, significantly improving load times and overall system performance. \nHALO AI 4.2 offers channel-invariant pretrained models that streamline nuclear and cell segmentation by leveraging all fluorescent channels\, and multiple membrane markers can now be selected when further training the pretrained membrane segmentation model. Version 4.2 also brings an updated AI annotation tool that is smaller\, faster\, and optimized for pathology data\, delivering a smoother annotation experience. Users now have greater control over model training with adjustable hyperparameters\, including learning rates and class weights. \n\nIn version 4.2\, HALO Link now supports viewing Z-stacks on brightfield images. The latest version also introduces a Diagnostic Monitor add-on to help administrators troubleshoot performance issues with image loading. For those looking for additional ergonomics options\, integration with the 3D Connexion SpaceMouse is now available. Finally\, both HALO and HALO Link 4.2 support the use of third-party AI apps\, enabling models developed by users outside of HALO or by external vendors to be launched and viewed within the platforms. \n\nLearning Objectives\nLearn about third party AI Analysis support through API \nLearn about new annotation tools and object data storage in HALO \nLearn about streamlined nuclear and membrane segmentation using channel invariant pretrained models  \nLearn about using the 3D Connexion SpaceMouse for more ergonomic slide navigation in HALO Link \n\nRegister NowPresenterDr. Noemi Kedei\nDirector of Product\, Life Sciences\nIndica Labs  \nNoemi Kedei earned an MD degree from University Medical School of Debrecen\, Hungary. She did her postdoctoral training and worked later as a staff scientist in the Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics\, NCI. Her research focused on identifying mechanisms involved in the differential effects of natural compounds and their engineered derivatives acting on protein kinase Cs (PKCs)\, validated targets for anti-cancer treatment. In 2018 she joined the Collaborative Protein Technology Resources (OSTR\, CCR\, NCI) core facility to implement a variety of spatial protein and transcriptomics technologies\, and lead related operations as services to NCI investigators. Noemi provided the expertise for development of project based customized antibody protein panels for detection of 40-60 protein targets at single cell level in tissue sections using the CODEX/Phenocycler fusion technology\, and ensured optimal and efficient instrument use. In addition\, she advised and supported users on tools for quantitative image analysis combining different AI-enabled HALO modules and NCI developed pipelines for downstream analysis. Noemi joined Indica Labs as Director of Product – Life Sciences in May\, 2025.
