The OnePath Diagnostics laboratory in Jacksonville, Florida, is now running on elea‘s AI-native Pathology Operating System, the result of a partnership built station by station, long before the first case moved through the system.

In practice, the lab side of the case is now orchestrated in one place: accessioning, grossing, specimen tracking, and the handoffs in between, with the status of every case visible to everyone who needs it. The diagnostic work stays where OnePath’s pathologists already work, distributed across the group’s network. Pathologists remain in the loop throughout and sign out every case.

Rather than asking pathologists to change the environment they read in, the platform takes on the coordination layer around them, moving specimens, stains, and status through the lab, and keeping the case visible end to end.

elea points to the preparation as the decisive part of the project. The two teams mapped OnePath’s existing workflow together, station by station, drawing on OnePath’s detailed knowledge of its own operations and on the time elea’s team spent on site, alongside the people who run the lab every day.

“A partnership like this is built one lab at a time,” said Ramona Frank, Head of Product & Operations at elea. “OnePath knew their own workflow inside out, and we mapped it together station by station. Good preparation is what carries a go-live.”

The OnePath go-live follows joint work between the two teams that included on-site sessions in the lab, technical integration, and continuous feedback from bench staff that fed directly back into the product.
