The name “Cirdan” draws inspiration from a character in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings—Cirdan the Shipwright, an ancient and wise elf revered for his exceptional shipbuilding skills. In Tolkien’s mythology, Cirdan built vessels that carried great figures, including the wizard Gandalf, across the seas to new realms. Known for his wisdom, craftsmanship, and foresight, Cirdan embodies the values of expertise, guidance, and enduring innovation. 

These qualities deeply resonated with the founders, who envisioned their company as a guide for the healthcare industry, navigating the complexities of diagnostic medicine.
