UNMATCHED EASE-OF-USE
HALO modules simplify the analysis workflow so there is no need to ‘build’ algorithms from scratch. Modules make HALO easy-to-use and understand which means you can spend less time learning software and more time analyzing data.
HALO add-ons can be used in combination with any of the other analysis modules to improve the analysis workflow. These include tools to help automate tissue segmentation, such as tissue classifier, serial section analysis, and TMA, as well as tools to improve image processing speeds for high-throughput labs, such as analysis cluster.
EXTENSIVE ANALYTICS
HALO reports morphological and multiplexed expression data on a cell-by-cell basis across entire tissue sections whilst maintaining an interactive link between cell data, including x, y coordinates, and cell image.
Sorting and filtering capabilities allow the user to mine millions of cells while visually assessing corresponding cell populations in the image. For example, sort cells according to biomarker intensity and immediately locate cells with highest intensity in the image.


MULTIPLEX ANALYSIS
The Multiplex IHC module in HALO can analyze up to five chromogenic stains in a section while the Highplex FL module can analyze an unlimited number of markers in fluorescence.
SCALABLE PLATFORM
HALO’s modular design and flexible licensing allow it to be adapted to any requirement and budget. Start with all the modules or just a few and add more modules as your needs change. Use HALO on a single workstation or ramp up to a server-based license for your entire group. Purchase a permanent license or renew annually.

“The software is modular and can be run on a server. This helps to increase the analysis power and while reducing the hardware requirement to do the analysis from individual’s side. It accepts multiple image formats for analysis which is a plus. The representatives were professional and helped in setting up more modules with ease. Since we have used other software, migrating to this one was easy and has few more analysis set up which was useful and increased its value among our researchers.”

“Halo is simply the best whole-slide analysis software available. We have a large core facility, scanning over 15,000 brightfield and 2,000 fluorescence slides per year (plus many confocal microscopes, etc.). For whole-slide analysis, we formerly used Genie (from Aperio), and InForm (from Perkin Elmer), and we have collaborators using Definiens (no longer available) and Visiopharm. But now we have over 50 users per month working on Halo and the other platforms have been virtually shut down. Halo is very easy to get up and running – within a 2 hour session we can get a new user started with their own classification and cell counting application. Most users run a batch analysis overnight and collect and review their results in the morning. The team at Indica Labs are quick to respond when we have a challenging analysis project – they will WebEx in and help optimize the parameters. They have the experience (and courage) to tell us if the staining is just not suitable or a more complex classifier is required.”
