Introducing Algoscope on Pathology News: Driving Standardization and Innovation in Pathology

Algoscope is a French startup committed to reshaping specimen traceability in pathology. After five years of stealth R&D, we are bringing our state-of-the-art digital suite, AlgoPath™, to the international stage. By leveraging 3D imaging and cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies such as large language models (LLMs) and computer vision, we deliver modern and reliable solutions that bridge the gap between traditional practices and digital workflows in pathology laboratories.

Our flagship digital suite, AlgoPath™, ensures complete traceability from the operating room through the entire pre-analytical phase in pathology laboratories. Already deployed in both public and private  laboratories in France, AlgoPath ™ is now preparing its expansion across Europe and beyond, with the ambition to harmonize specimen handling and set a new global standard in pathology.

From Florence to Vienna: ECP 2025

We revealed AlgoPath ™ internationally for the first time at the European Congress of Pathology (ECP) 2024 in Florence, Italy, an important milestone after five years of intensive R&D. VoxelPath ®, the first component of our suite to be commercialized, is an AI‑augmented digital grossing station that was met with strong enthusiasm and recognized as a true bridge between traditional workflows and new digital standards in specimen traceability.

This year, at the 37th edition of ECP in Vienna, Austria, we are excited to showcase the next advances of our solution. With improved accuracy in grossing analysis and enhanced workflow reliability, AlgoPath™ continues to evolve to meet the growing needs of pathologists worldwide.

We are also proud to announce new collaborations dedicated to advancing automation in pathology. Visit us at Booth 21, where we will be together with CisionVision. Two companies, two complementary visions, but one shared mission: transforming grossing through technology.

PathOutPal: AI for Education and Training

At Algoscope, innovation extends beyond laboratory workflows, we are equally committed to improving knowledge access in pathology. With this spirit, we created PathOutPal, an AI-powered assistant freely accessible to everyone, as our humble contribution to the pathology community.

PathOutPal is designed to support pathology residents, medical students, and practicing pathologists in their daily tasks.

It allows users to ask questions on diagnostics, histological features, staging, and stains and receive structured, referenced answers with direct links to authoritative sources.

Think of it as a knowledge navigator for pathology, a tool that brings clarity and accessibility to complex topics.

Our collaboration with PathologyOutlines.com marks an exciting milestone. Rosie Dalat, CEO of PathologyOutlines.com, shared her enthusiasm:

“I am very excited about our collaboration with Algoscope and the launch of the new AI chat assistant on PathologyOutlines.com. True to our motto, ‘Find pathology information in 15 seconds or less,’ PathOutPal is a natural fit for our community.”              -Rosie Dalat CEO of PathologyOutlines.com

Building the Future of Pathology

At Algoscope, we believe the future of pathology lies at the intersection of technology, precision, and accessibility. Together with the pathology community, we are committed to building that future, one where traceability, automation, and knowledge access go hand in hand.

We look forward to continuing the conversation at ECP 2025 in Vienna and beyond.
