The Pathology News team visited Region Skåne, Lund, Sweden in March 2026. During our time in Lund we discussed why they made the move to digital, their journey, the decisions that shaped that journey, and the challenges they encountered along the way. Since deploying in spring 2019, Region Skåne have been a digital pathology trendsetter across Europe and beyond. As one of the first labs to digitise their workflow, Region Skåne were a key target for Pathology News’ Key Labs Team.
