“Expect the Extraordinary”
The 108th Annual Meeting of the German Society of Pathology (DGP 2025) will be held June 12–14, 2025, at the Congress Center Leipzig.
The meeting will explore the critical role of pathology in balancing broad-based clinical care with specialized diagnostics, particularly for rare diseases. Key topics will include digitalization, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies, with a focus on how these tools can support diagnostic precision and improve patient outcomes.
This year’s event will also spotlight the future of pathology education—a topic returning to the agenda after many years. The program will explore how teaching contributes to the advancement of the field, what expectations students have of pathology educators, and how academic training can be enhanced for future generations. Young professionals will take an active role in the event, including session moderation and discussions.
In recognition of the increasing number of international attendees, DGP 2025 will be held entirely in English for the first time, emphasizing the society’s commitment to global scientific exchange.
From hands-on insights to critical discourse on the direction of the field, the annual DGP meeting continues to serve as a cornerstone for the pathology community.
