Speaker Biographies:

Michael P. Lux, MD, MBA, studied medicine at the Heinrich-Heine-University, Düsseldorf, Germany, from 1995 to 2002. He began his residency at the Department of Gynaecology at Erlangen University Hospital, Germany, in 2002, where he was Intern until 2008. He became a Senior Physician in 2008 and received his postdoctoral lecture qualification in 2009 before becoming Deputy Clinical Director from 2017 to 2019. He was a speaker for the University Breast Center from 2011 to 2019 and of the University Gynecological Cancer Center for Franconia, Erlangen, from 2017 to 2019.

Since 2019, Professor Lux has been head of the Clinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the St. Louise Women’s and Children’s Clinic, Paderborn, and the St. Josefs Hospital, Salzkotten, and head of the Cooperative Breast Center, Paderborn, and the Gynecological Cancer Center at St. Vincenz Hospital, Paderborn.

The main focus of his scientific work is breast cancer and gynecological oncology. Since starting work, he has been responsible for the organisation and management of breast cancer and gynaecological-oncological clinical trials. He also is involved in health services research and health economics.

Professor Lux is member of several societies, such as the breast commission of the working group Gynecological Oncology (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Gynäkologische Onkologie, AGO e.V.) and the German Society for Mastology (DGS e.V.).Dr. Mariana Felicia Sandor studied medicine at the Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara, Romania, graduating in 2011. She began her residency at Marienhospital Greven in 2012. Since 2014, she has worked as a resident physician and later as a senior physician at St. Louise Women’s and Children’s Clinic, Paderborn, and St. Josefs Hospital, Salzkotten. She was also part of the Cooperative Breast Center team in Paderborn and worked as a breast surgeon.

Dr. Moira Ragazzi is a pathologist specializing in breast and endocrine pathology, with additional expertise in prostate and skin diseases. She earned her medical degree and completed her pathology residency at the University of Bologna in 2009. Since 2010, she has been a full-time pathologist at Azienda USL – IRCCS of Reggio Emilia, and in 2022, she was appointed Associate Professor at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

An internationally recognized expert in cancer pathology, Dr. Ragazzi has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications. Her research since 2012 has focused on confocal microscopy for cancer detection, with a particular emphasis on improving surgical outcomes through innovative intraoperative assessment techniques.
