On November 21, 2024, AIVIS Inc. presented its AI-powered pathology solution, Qanti IHC, at a breast cancer symposium hosted by AstraZeneca Korea for Breast Pathology Study Group of Korean Society of Pathology. The event brought together approximately 100 of South Korea’s leading breast pathologists to discuss recent advancements in breast cancer diagnostics and treatment.

The symposium focused on paradigm shifts in breast cancer care, spotlighting two of AstraZeneca’s innovative therapies: Enhertu® (Trastuzumab Deruxtecan)—a groundbreaking treatment for HER2-ultralow metastatic breast cancer—and Truqap™ (Capivasertib), an AKT inhibitor targeting hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. As Enhertu’s indications expand beyond HER2-positive cases to include HER2-low and HER2-ultralow breast cancer cases, the need for precise HER2 status diagnosis is becoming increasingly critical.

During the symposium, AIVIS demonstrated Qanti IHC, its MFDS-approved in vitro diagnostic software that enables automated, quantitative analysis of four key immunohistochemistry (IHC) biomarkers: ER, PR, HER2, and Ki-67. Built with proprietary AI algorithms, the solution is designed to support pathologists by improving diagnostic accuracy and reproducibility, particularly in the challenging differentiation of HER2-low breast cancer.
