Z-stack protocols on the SLIDEVIEW^™ VS-M1 slide scanner enable effortless, high-quality scans of routine pathology samples

Evident is broadening its digital pathology applications with the addition of Z-stack capabilities* on the SLIDEVIEW^™ VS-M1 whole slide scanner. By adding intuitive sample-based workflows, including preset protocols for prevalent cytology samples, the company continues to innovate its digital pathology portfolio for clinical research applications.

The SLIDEVIEW VS-M1 scanner features an intuitive interface and smart AI tools that streamline single plane and Z-stack imaging, enabling users of all skill levels to capture brightfield images of routine pathology samples in just a few clicks. In addition, the scanner offers microscope-quality optics and innovation built from over a century of expertise in imaging. Designed to bring pathology into the next generation, the instrument is equipped with AI-powered sample detection to reliably locate dispersed or small sample sections, helping ensure the collection of all tissues present on cytology or histology slides. For particularly challenging samples, a manual setting mode offers the flexibility to set individual focus points.
