Experts from Caris Life Sciences, UPMC, and Mayo Clinic highlight Digital Pathology 2.0 – the future of digital pathology – in “Beyond the Scanner” workshopPramana, Inc., an AI-enabled health tech company modernizing the pathology sector, will present its latest advancements in image acquisition and autonomous whole slide imaging at Pathology Visions (PV2024) in Orlando, Fla., November 3-5 (booth #407). The company will also host a panel presentation on November 3 at 4 p.m., titled Beyond the Scanner,” demonstrating how labs can adopt digital pathology to optimize workflows and enhance operations.

    • Matthew Hanna, Vice Chair of Pathology Informatics, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, will explore the benefits of edge computing in regional lab consolidation and optimizing digital pathology infrastructure.
  • Innovations for DICOM Storage Optimization in Pathology: Compression & Z-stacking
    • Andrew Norgan, Medical Director of Digital Pathology Platform, Mayo Clinic, will highlight DICOM storage challenges and innovations like compression and z-stacking to optimize data management.
