Aiforia has announced the recipients of its 2026 AI Navigator Awards, recognising three individuals for their contributions to advancing artificial intelligence in clinical diagnostics.
This year’s awards honour Professor Anne Vincent-Salomon, Professor Albino Eccher and Dr Antonin Bouroumeau, with the award ceremony taking place at the Aiforia Booth #104 during ECP 2026 in Stockholm on Sunday, 13 September, from 11:00–11:30 AM CEST.
Launched at last year’s ECP in Vienna, the AI Navigator Award recognises individuals who are helping lead the adoption of AI in clinical pathology. The inaugural awards honoured Professor Angelo Paolo Dei Tos and Professor Catherine Guettier for their contributions to advancing AI in clinical diagnostics.
This year’s recipients are:
Professor Anne Vincent-Salomon, Professor of Pathology and Head of the Diagnostic and Theranostic Medicine Division at Institut Curie in France. She has played a key role in integrating digital pathology and AI tools into diagnostic workflows, with a focus on breast pathology, translational oncology and precision medicine.
Professor Albino Eccher, Full Professor of Pathology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and a Pathologist at the University Hospital of Modena in Italy. His work includes the integration of digital workflows and AI-driven decision-support tools into routine pathology, alongside the development of standardised processes and collaborative specialist networks.
Dr Antonin Bouroumeau, Pathologist and Digital Transformation Lead for Switzerland at Unilabs. He is leading the national rollout of digital pathology and AI across Unilabs’ Swiss network, including the integration of AI into routine diagnostic workflows and the development of an international virtual network of experts.
